CHIMS was founded in 2003 as an MTN franchise, and when mobile money was introduced in Uganda in 2009, CHIMS was among the first companies to become active in this segment. The company now operates as an independent agent to the largest mobile money network in Uganda (MTN) and aims to expand its agent network nationwide. CHIMS boasts exceptional operational float management capabilities, executing higher volume cash-in and cash-out transactions than most competitors — many of whom lack sufficient working capital to serve customers effectively.
